Review: Roam Artisan Burgers San Ramon

Roam Artisan Burgers is a burger joint located at City Center Bishop Ranch. But that moniker doesn't quite do the place justice.

Roam's burgers are very tasty and high quality. They're the kind of thing you might see served in a fancy San Francisco restaurant, but in a much more casual setting, and at a (slightly) lower price.

To build a Roam burger, you select your meat (beef, buffalo, turkey and veggie options are available), bun, cheese and a wide variety of toppings. I choose the Pink option, which means the burger is cooked Medium, with a bit of pink in the center.

Roam also has several pre-made burger options that are delicious. I like their Heritage burger, which includes thick-cut slabs of bacon.

Roam also has excellent milkshakes. I love to get a chocolate malt shake topped with a brulee marshmallow.

The San Ramon Roam has limited indoor seating, but they do have an outdoor patio area. They also have limited options for non-burger-people. Their salads are just okay, and the options are limited.

If you're craving a burger that's a good deal fancier than many other local burger places, though, Roam is a fantastic bet. I go there at least once a month.
